Balancing & X12 is the E4C Gas suite module that handles the transmission of daily planning information to Snam Rete Gas through the X12 protocol. The dispatch is preceded by a value balancing and validation process. The forecasting data for each POD can come from the E4C Forecaster Gas module, or other forecasting systems, and Balancing & X12 can run both as part of a suite and as a stand-alone application.

Business Problem

Shippers need a ready-made solution that encapsulates the process of balancing, validation and daily planning for delivery to Snam Rete Gas. Before sending appointments through X12 protocol, the Program Balance has to be performed, i.e. the energy fed into the network plus the energy storage (injected or delivered) must equal the expected consumption in the regional networks. Balancing uses demand forecasts for individual points of delivery, supply contract data, Entry Capacity, Regional Networks and Points of Delivery Capacity, as well as transactions already recorded at PSV.

 Balance & X12 is the E4C Suite Gas module that meets these requirements. After the balancing phase, daily programs can be sent to SRG. The system provides X12-formatted information, generating a file for the national grid and a file for each of the regional networks, and then sends them to SRG
